A NATO-led intervention in Darfur is needed, and may be a first step in building a new structure for global security.

Joseph Loconte is a distinguished visiting professor at Pepperdine University’s School of Public Policy and a senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center. He served as a human rights expert for the Congressional Task Force on the United Nations and is editor of The End of Illusions: Religious Leaders Confront Hitler’s Gathering Storm (Rowman & Littlefield, 2004).
